PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Since April 2000 software developer for Jentro AG , Haar/Munich, Germany. I am responsible for the architecture and development of Jentro's product "JentroManager", a multi-threaded Java client/server application for monitoring and maintaining distributed systems. Java technologies used in this application include servlets, JDBC, JNDI, JDOM and many more. Together with Jentro's management I develop the specifications for the product, and am solely responsible for the implementation.

  • August 1993 - August 1999 resident conductor, associate music director and principal coach, North Harz Civic Theater, Halberstadt.

  • January 1997, conductor, Ariadne auf Naxos , Arizona Opera. Reengaged for Tosca , March 1998, Die Fledermaus , November 1998.

  • August 1990-July 1993 Coach/accompanist and conductor, State Theater of the Saarland, Saarbrücken.

  • August 1988-June 1990 Coach/accompanist and assistant conductor, Civic Theater in Hagen.

  • 1982-1988 Principal coach/accompanist and assistant conductor, Seattle Opera.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Sun-certified Java programmer. As a Java developer at home under Solaris, Linux and Windows environments. Experience with programming Unix shell scripts and Makefiles. Good working knowledge of XML and HTML. Other technologies and protocols: SNMP, SQL, LDAP, WML.

Java programming skills include experience working in the JDK 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 environments. Extensive experience working with Java and XML. Development of dynamic content with Java servlets and HTML/WML. Extensive experience programming in a multi-threaded, distributed environment. Awareness of good object-oriented design practice; experience in using design patterns.
