General Notes:
Beate Graf claims that Hanss' father was STOFFEL Jauch (2d below). But acc ording to Peter Schifferdecker's web site, Hans was one of two sons of a G orgus Jauch (2b, below). Apparently it went something like this:
1a. Matheus Jauch m1. 2a. Joerg/Georg Jauch m2. 2b. Georg/Gorgus Jauch 3a. Hanss Jauch [THIS ONE] 4a. Katharina Jauch (m. Michael Jauch) 3b. Georg Jauch
2c. Ewald Jauch (dies young) 2d. Stoffel/Christoph Jauch
1b. Mathis Jauch (brother to 1a above) 2. Theus Jauch
The brothers Hans (3a) and Georg Jauch (3b) managed the leased property be fore the Thirty-Year War. They were neighbours of the administrator Hans L auffer. The St. Blaisen property 160 [measures] and was the next largest a fter the Muenchhof in the village.
After the 30-year war, the brothers Jauch - just like many other Schwennin ger - had to borrow money. Their abbott had been however [rueckscihtslo s] enough, her still during the war, when the village lay in rubble (1641 ), to remind them of their debt. Apparently, the two brothers did not surv ive the war. Hanss left a debt of 1,849 guldens, George's deabt was 2,1 21 guldens.
The property was destroyed, and apparently nobody wanted the inheritanc e. The property was put up for sale. A relative, Michael Jauch bought ha lf of it for 948 guldens; three Schwenninger citizens divided the other ha lf.
Hanss married Female Unknown about 1610 in (Based On Age Of Child).250 (Female Unknown was born about 1590 in (Based On Age Of Child).)
