Researchers working on this branch relying on information obtained pri or to March 2004-- even "official" information from Schwenningen-- shou ld see comments for Jakob Jauch, b. Dec 1729 for complete explanati on of a record keeping error that began about 1810 that resulted in incorr ect (but "official") information being disseminated about the parentage a nd wife of this Jakob Jauch. For the purposes of THIS record, I include h ere only information about Jakob, born in 1732. The now corrected informat ion is this:

J2. Jakob Jauch, b. 23 March 1732 [FHL #1658743, Band 1, Baptisms, p. 277 :] parents: Christian Jauch (C2) and Anna Jaeckle (their marriage is fou nd in 1726). Jakob Jauch (J2) married in 1762 (Schwenningen Evangelische K irch, FHL #1658745, Marriages 1762, p. 103) Anna Schneckenburger (A2), d au of Johannes Schneckenburger and Ursula Moench of Beisingen. FHL #165874 5, Marriages 1762, p. 103: 22 Sep 1762: Jakob Jauch, weber, son of Christi an Jauch, bauer; marries Anna, daughter of Johannes Schneckenburger. Addi tional evidence may be found through this death record: The Jacob Jauch w ho died on 27 March 1783 (FHL INTL Film 1658745, Deaths, page 126/127) w as identified as a weaver and "kaelberhirth" (cowboy), and his age at h is death was 51y, 4 d, placing his birth in March 1732.

The 26 Oct 1769 birth of a son Jacob Jauch (FHL INTL Film 1658743 Items 3- 6, page 149) identifies his parents as Jacob Jauch, weber and kaelberhir th (cowboy), and Anna Schneckenburger. That means that weaver and cowboy J acob was born in 1732, married Anna Schneckenburger in 1762, and di ed in 1783.
